There is a general belief that Pc’s are for programming and Mac’s are for designing. And although the market tendencies aimed at that partial truth ten years ago, the tides are turning pretty fast. In fact, we can say today that developers are turning to Mac’s and designers are turning to Linux. My question here is… who’s turning to windows?
This good article by Mark Nutter shows us five good reasons why developers are leaving their trusty, not so good looking Pc’s for the better accessibility and versatility of the always sexy MacOsx.

Picasa is a google application, which allows you to see most of bitmap formats, among them you can see the most populars: .png – .jpg – .gif – .ico – etc…

Besides being the greatest image viewer, is the easiest way to share, search, organize and edit your images, photos, graphics and also you can convert them in movie clips, collages, and it gives you the opportunity to filter your files. Looking around the I Started Something Blog, I found out that Windows Vista Icons were facing the wrong direction. I used Vista for a couple of weeks and never noticed it, but when we compare them with icons from Windows XP, we can tell the difference.

A user interface is the first thing people notice of your software, web page or whatever application you create. Even if your software works perfectly, you need to make sure the User Interface works correctly too. We’re going to check a couple ofUI bloopers Microsoft has failed to fix, lets just hope this doesn’t happen in Windows 7.
