I think it’s incredible how some old myths manage to persist throughout the ages, still to this era where we have all kinds of technology like video cameras, GPS and satellites to prove almost anything. I guess we humans just need to believe in things. In this article by Time Magazine, you will find ten mythical monsters, from the Chupacabra to the Abominable Snowman. There’s a monster for everyone! Any of you readers have a monster story?

I would have to say the only really scary monsters are the ones we elect to public office who betray our trust. lol Really cool and interesting read. A few of the ones listed I didn’t even know existed. You learn something new all the time. Thanks for sharing G.

theres a show my dad likes called monster quest where they look into some of the myths and they always find a little more evidence but nothing conclusive. it’s interesting to hear the stories though. The only one they came close on was about giant sharks in some region and found a rare breed of large shark was coming so close to shore they were in depths of 10 feet, right by the docks and so they werent abnormally big, just scary and definately enough fuel to light a myth fire. I think a lot of myths come from peoples exaggerations of stories getting passed down by generations.
