When 140 characters aren’t enough

If you ever complained about the difficulties of discussing Nietzsche and Kant on Twitter, we’ve found the right thing for you! Woofer is a “macroblogging” platform very similar to twitter, except for one thing: you have a minimum character count of 1400 characters. Are you feeling chatty?

Just don’t see the need for me to rattle on about myself anywhere, twitter, woofer, or any other platform…If I want to know something about someone, I’ll ask em and if they want to tell me something, they know where to find me…LOL Just my opinion and I’m sticking to it. If you ask me, people need more human contact NOT keyboard contact. :(

I couldn’t agree more Sherwood. We need to start looking at each other at the eyes and not through our webcams. But Woofer is a mighty fine parody of social networking.

Talk about one long “tweet” but this takes the cake. LOL This definitely makes a comment on social networking but just what it is can only really be explained by each individual persons experience. I can see this as being a tool best used by those needing to send more information but it can also become to much for the casual user. The scary part about more human contact is “more human contact” in other words differences / disagreements are safer from a distance and not so up close and personal if you know what I mean. Of course an equally valid argument can be made for that up close personal interaction between two consenting adults. Think of it this way get caught cheating on your spouse would you feel safer up close and personal with them in the same room capable of physical contact eg: Tiger Woods!!! Golf club anyone! Online dating eventually has to lead to physical contact or meeting new friends and business associates / contacts. We just have to find a balance between the two. Thanks for sharing G.

Thanks for the comment Zandor. Above all I agree Woofer is a statement on social networking. Kind of a social experiment to be debated. BTW, The Tiger Woods incident is just absurd. A Chinese News station made a CG representation of the incident that’s plain hilarious. Check it out on Youtube.

That video is just way to funny G. I really loved it and how Chinese media portrays American culture. The part where she is chasing him down the driveway made me just about fall off my chair laughing. It also proves my point about too much human contact can be a bad thing…Ha..ha..ha..ha..ha….

Jaja you got your point there Zandor! Human contact can be bad, specially with a golf club.
