Outrageous Breach of copyright by a major Newspaper

Check out this legal aberration committed by mayor newspaper “The Independent” against photographer Peter Zabulis. In conclusion, “The Independent” is kind of saying that they have an open permission to post whatever image is on Flickr regardless of the holder’s copyrights. Hmm, interesting approach on intellectual property.

If you are a blogger, please help spread the word. This cannot continue happening. Today it was Peter. Tomorrow it could be you.

hmmmm……I think I’ll keep a tight lip on this one. LOL Good read though.

  2. Wow Im glad thats settled. I would think they would know better than to just link to a stream and assume that would be okay. Any commercial site should check its permissions when associating with other sites. It’s one thing to link to an artist in a site, but quite another to link to the artists resources in your site if they are clearly marked as privately liscenced. Go peter!
