Welcome to a new blog week, as always, full of enlightening news, thought provoking articles and life changing quotes. Hmm… am I talking about my blog?
Anyway, I wanted to begin this week with this interview made by PUSHING PIXELS to the nice Alexandra Imrie from the German software development company BREDEX. She gives us an insightful overview on GUIDANCER, a program designed to test Java application and HTML user interfaces. Besides staring for hours at her photo, you should give this tool a test drive. You have to register to their site to request a free demo license. We at Iconshock will certainly check it out too.

Great article by Alexandra, she hit the nail on the head with usability…I can’t count how many times I’ve downloaded free trials only to find the product is not so user friendly…and although it may be a good product, the documentation just dosen’t cut it for the casual/beginner user. I liked this article….

im lost – and not the kind of lost where you know where u are but not where your going so you can follow directions; im the kind of lost where im not sure what planet im still on and where gravity is pulling and if someone calls for help alone in a forest if they actually make noise…kind of lost…

Jjay, Your scenario sounds like the Blair Witch + Alien. Pretty scary in deed.
This is an almost 4000 dollar app for top companies to do automated tests on their software. Imagine like a cute robot sitting in front of the computer, clicking on buttons and check boxes and using all the options of your newly written software. No coffee brakes or calling in hangover-sick. Do you need such a friend? (I’m tempted to use insinuating net jargon here, but I’ll pass)
