Wikipedia is one of the greatest sources of knowledge we can find online. Its content is created by the community and it can be modified in order to get more accurate information. Wikipedia became one of the most complete encyclopedia online, because of that several wikipages related to specific content were created. Design is not an exception, and for this reason, at
PSDTuts, a
Photoshop Wikipedia was released this week. The first pages of content are being created and so far we can find great and not so great information. In order to expand the quantity of articles and improve the quality a contest is being held where the person who contributes the most accurate content will be awarded.

This is a great resource for any designer, since we will be able to find from the most basic information to the most advanced topics related to this image edition software. What I find most interesting about this wiki is the fact that it won't just be a simple tutorial to create a file, but it will be a way to gather knowledge and actually get feedback and corrections from anyone who might know better than us or teach us different ways to achieve results.
If you have an idea that can be useful for others when it comes to image edition submit it to this new wikipedia, remember that not only software related help is allowed, but design concepts applicable to image edition can be pusblished too.

Susana,
Thanks so much for discussing the new PSDTUTS wiki. I have been blessed to be able to help them out with launching it. The sheer size and fanaticism of their community has overwhelmed me. We’ve had about 250 sign-ups in the first 36 hours and over 1,000 page edits in that time.
I do hope it will become the Wikipedia of all things Photoshop.
See you over at the wiki!
